Amanda Griffith was born in Glastonbury, Connecticut and attended Hartford College for Women (A.A. Liberal Arts) and Franklin and Marshall College (B.A. English) in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

     After graduation Ms. Griffith moved to Texas. Her first job out of college was as a claims adjuster for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company.

     Ms. Griffith then pursued her teaching certificate from East Texas State University. As a secondary English teacher of almost twenty years, Ms. Griffith has taught writing and reading with a passion, modeling her own efforts as an author in the classroom.

     Ms. Griffith is married to an attorney and native Texan. She has two children, one seventeen year old daughter, Melinda, and a twelve year old son, Will. They currently have a cat and live on five acres in the country in a house designed by Ms. Griffith.

     Two Truths and a Lie is Ms. Griffith's first novel and took two years to write, fulfilling her lifelong dream of being a writer. Ms. Griffith is currently working on her second novel, a sequel to Two Truths and a Lie. (click here to read an excerpt)
