Reviews of Two Truths and a Lie

I really like the parallel between the play (Julius Caesar) and the course of the narrator’s life. The whole concept strikes me as an intelligent and compelling young-adult novel. The narrative voice is engaging, and the needs, fears, desires, and turmoil of Brandy’s life will surely make her a character that young readers can identify with. The characters are wonderfully and disturbingly “real.” …a richly textured and compelling story of true literary value that poignantly illuminates the complexities, joys, and tribulations of being a teenager in our time.

"...the plot is just as good as Griffith's characters and has a surprise or two for the reader. She writes unflinchingly about the perils of teenage drinking, sexual predators, how important honesty and character are, and what makes a good friend, lessons we all need to be be reminded of again and again...TWO TRUTHS AND A LIE should be in every high school library.

Have just finished your book. I thought you carried the story along very well. Each character becomes very clear to the reader. The desire to be a part of the In Group at whatever cost is universal. And your presentation is very believeable. I truly believe you have a future in writing. You are young enough to pursue it.
